The least imaginable thing happened to me just the other day

When I was headed home from the bakery picking up your birthday cake

I could swear for about a second and a half the sun had disappeared

In an otherwise cloudless sky, I start to sweat as I draw conclusions

This could be a real inconvenience

There's an eerie quiet once the last song on the radio had stopped

And then dead air at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, I've gotta say that I was shocked

When all the light and the heat in the world as we know it up and faded

And I barely had a second to think before another car swerved headlong into me

'Causing a pretty serious collision

Spinning us both around like a pinion

I guess at some point amidst the chaos the sky lit back on fire

Just in time to illuminate the face of the other driver

And as if everything that was happening wasn't ridiculous enough

I recognized the other person was you and we met eyes before making impact

With a rather nasty side of a building

And I gasped as you flipped over the median

Wait, this is not how today was supposed to go

I'm afraid your cake was ruined in the crash

But I'll be happy long as we both make to your birthday bash
